The Exodus + Intervention Programme

WHAT IS EXODUS PLUS?

The Exodus+ 12-month programme is delivered by the restorative organisation UpskillU and supported by MY:BK:YRD. Developed for young people (aged 18 to 24) who historically have felt marginalised and/or disengaged from mainstream training or employment opportunity. UpskillU Is a restorative frontline community organisation specialising in- therapeutic intervention for young people at risk. Our team of professionally trained mentors and trainers bring knowledge and expertise through their own lived experience. MY:BK:YRD works with local businesses brokering relevant training and employment opportunities.

HOW IS THE PROGRAMME DELIVERED?

We use Progression Coaches which is a special kind of Mentor who helps people progress in their education, training and employment. Our Progression Coaches come with lived experience and deliver a strengths based / trauma informed approach. The Progression Coach meets with the young person weekly, both in-person and via virtual means, supporting them along their pathway into future opportunities supported by MY:BK:YRD

WHAT ARE THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA?

Young people eligible for Exodus+ need to be 18-24 years old and at least one of the following: Known to be currently offending or considered to demonstrate medium/high risk factors associated with offending, exploitation, and/or victimisation.
